Tasting:

Eye:

A clear yellow wine. The wine is bright and clear exhibiting life, freshness and youth.

Nose:

Nice mineral aromas. The white Grenache displays a very elegant complexity and a unique character. Scents of jammy lemon , cherry plum and grapefruit. After aeration, its minerality persists with subtle scents of white flowers and red berries and as it gains power it reveals notes of fresh almonds.

Palate:

Round and vivacious; jammy lemon , cherry plum and grapefruit are again present . The wine is very well balanced and offers a mineral expression of the Boutenac terroir with its length. This wine is rich and pure.

Tips on service:

• Serve between 12 -14 degrees, decant 1 hour. Should not be too cold in order to let this wine reveal its subtle complexity

• Drink now but can easily wait until 2015.

Food and wine matching suggestions:

Rock lobster in aspic, coquilles St. Jacques gratinées, sole with wild mushrooms, gratin of scallops with saffron, Coulibiac of salmon, brochette of monkfish with curry, aged goat’s cheese…or, our favourite, foie gras with quince jam.
