Le Trou de l'Ermite 2017

Le Trou de l’Ermite 2017

Château de Caraguilhes Appellation Corbières Boutenac

Soil Stony clay-limestone

Location Terroir de Boutenac, Saint Laurent de la Cabrerisse

Culture ECOCERT certification, organic wine. Organically farmed grapes with no pesticides nor herbicides.

Grape Varietals 40% Grenache, 30% Carignan, 30% Syrah, 50% aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (barrels 2 and 3 years old).

Eye: Deep, intense ruby red color with hints of violet. The wine is bright and displays a fine concentration in the glass.

Nose: Wonderful aromas of fruity freshness, redolent of blackberries and liquorice. With aeration, the wine reveals greater complexity, with hints of rosemary and thyme. The Mediterranean spirit of the 2015 is again present in the 2017.

Palate: A fantastic fruity attack, underlined by notes of black fruit and olive tapenade. The freshness on the palate delivers all the personality of this wine – the power of the Mediterranean style, tempered with a delightful softness in the mouth.
